Life happens sometimes. You let your dog walk on your gear and puncture marks occur, you get snagged in a zipper, or you drag it across the ground by accident, things happen. Enlightened Equipment offers repairs on all our products for the lifetime of the item. Typically it starts by Having the customer email pictures of the issue into us. We do our best to assess the damage and see if this is something you could easily do at home or if you should send it in. If we think you should send it in we let you know and have a base charge of $12 (for shipping) to repair your quilt. If the repair is more difficult additional charges may apply, but we always will let you know of the cost before any work is done. If it is a repair you can do at home, we will let you know how to do the repair and what tools needed. Many times repairs can be done with some simple tenacious tape. If the issue is a production defect, we will cover the round-trip cost for the repair. See our Policies section to learn more.
Tenacious Tape/Gear Tape: A high bonding tape. Designed to adhere to fabrics of all sorts for repair. We offer as a fix for holes. It can close those small gaps and hold for years if applied well. It works on basically any fabric you’re likely to bring on your hiking and camping trips, so we recommend having a stash of it along with you for any of those little tears that come up from time to time.
Permethrin/Bug Repellants: Assuming you follow the directions, we don’t know of any negative effects of using a Permethrin treatment, provided it is designed for clothing and camping gear use. For any bug repellants make sure that they are safe to use on nylon fabrics and that they are down and synthetic friendly.
Durable Water Repellant Treatments: Over time, any DWR (durable water repellant) coating on a fabric will eventually break down or wear out, especially if exposed to frequent friction or sunlight. Aftermarket DWR treatments can be used to boost the moisture resistance of the fabrics in your quilt, but avoid treatments that require high heat to fully settle into the fabric, and remember, as with any aftermarket treatment, failure or malfunction would not be covered by our warranty.
Changes: Customers have the ability to change product options during production. Any changes in order may result in a delay in production. You are able to make changes to your quilt as long as it has not shipped out.
