The text says: "If you are not home to sign for your package, the post office will hold onto it for a maximum of 14 days. After that they will return it to us. While the post office is holding your package, you can either pick it up in person, or you can schedule a re-delivery through USPS.com."

Can I authorize someone to receive and sign for me? I can give someone an authorization letter or a power of attorney. Is that possible?
