When you design a custom quilt with us, you can choose colors for the nylon fabric on the inside and outside of your quilt or sleeping bag. Please note that fabric colors may appear different from images shown due to rendering and monitor differences.
We offer 19 different colors for the outside, and 12 colors for the inside.
When you're looking at our product pages, you can click the colored circles to see the color and denier. D refers to the denier of the fabric, and you can read more about our fabrics here.
No 10D color looks exactly the same as any 20D color; however, we do have several that are close. Typically, the 20D colors are lighter, while the 10D colors are darker but have a shine to them.
Lighter 10D options, and all 7D options, are somewhat see-through, so they may appear lighter or darker than shown when sewn next to insulation. This can be helpful for quilts; you'll be able to see the down within the baffles of the quilt and redistribute it accordingly. With the darker 10D colors, all you need to do is hold the sleep system up to the light and any problem areas will stand out.
The inside color options are the same color options as the outside, but only 10D and 7D fabrics are included. This is because 20D's high windproofness makes it less functional as an inner fabric.
Many customers like to use the colors of their sleeping gear as a tool to flag down help in emergency situations, so they'll choose a lighter color on one side. Some people also like to get darker colors on one side to help dry their gear out when it gets wet.
