Our colors determine the fabrics you choose on our site. We have nine 10D fabric colors (the first nine in the row below) and seven 20D fabric colors (the last seven in the row below). No 10D color looks exactly the same as any 20D color, however, we do have several that are close. Typically, the 20D colors are lighter and the 10D colors are darker but have a shine to them. Many of the 10D options are somewhat see-through and you can see the down within the baffles of the quilt. You will end up finding this helpful for when you need to redistribute your down. You will be able to see where the pockets of no down are in the baffles which will help you redistribute the down evenly. On the darker 10D colors, all you need to do is hold the sleep system up to the light and any problem areas will stand out.
Many customers like to use the colors of their sleeping gear as a tool in emergency situations. They will get a lighter color on one side of their sleep system to flag down help in an emergency, and darker colors on the other side to help dry their gear out when wet, this is mostly just a preference choice. However, if you are worried about dampness, then getting a darker color is a good idea.
